To meet the demands of its ever-increasing number of constituents, YAA has embarked on a unique public/private partnership with Broward County to create a "town square" for South Florida. On 11.7 acres of land at 112th Avenue and I-595, Young At Art will construct a new arts & education complex in conjunction with the construction of a new county library, a first in Florida. The new Young At Art Children’s Museum and Library Complex will put the arts and learning at the center of family life in Broward County and South Florida.

This innovative museum/library complex will be truly unique to
our community. Above all, it will enable the Young At Art Children’s Museum to continue its tireless work of expanding the minds, capabilities and experiences of our children for generations
to come.

The new museum complex will serve:

  • All children regardless of social or economic level or disability.
  • Parents' need for safe and stimulating environments for leisure and family life.
  • Community, by providing enriching resources and a welcoming environment for a diverse and expanding population.
  • Economic development for the region by creating a multi-faceted, well prepared workforce, so making the region attractive to corporate relocation and creating resources for the rapidly expanding cultural tourism sector.

The many colors in the vanes of the pinwheel represent the color wheel, one of the critical elements of art. So is the new Young At Art Children's Museum a critical component of our community's future. The central theme of the hands represents the many facets of the people we serve who come together at Young At Art to create a new town square.

This toy is a direct connection to the child in all of us. It is brought to life by interaction, just as this campaign will come to life through your support.
