YAA puts participation in art and multi-cultural understanding at the center of children’s education while providing a cultural convergence point for family life in Broward County and South Florida. Our unique environment and "hands on" programming are increasingly recognized as essential to community and to growing the whole child.

Since our inception in 1987, YAA has forged new ground in the education field, integrating art, math, vocabulary, geography, language and multi-cultural understanding to educate more than one million children, teens and educators. The excellence in the programming at Young At Art Children’s Museum has been recognized at regional and national levels.

Our partnerships and collaborations are part of why we have become a proven success and a valued part of the South Florida social and cultural landscape. YAA is tireless in its outreach to every child regardless of ability, disability, culture or income.

“Growing up in Africa, we found out early that art and life are one in the same. You have to touch creativity or be touched by it to be really alive.”
