- First grade and up: 1 Free Adult chaperone per10 students
- Special needs: 1 adult per 5 students All chaperones for Special Needs Free
- Add'l Chaperone Fee: $7.50 per adult.
To Schedule Your Programs For Field Trips to the Museum and/or Outreach Programs Making Your Reservation Call the group reservation office 954-424-0085, x10. Please have the following information ready: - Preferred dates and times for your program
- The number of students and adult chaperones along with the student's grade levels (minimum of 20 students for group tours)
- School name, address, phone number and contact information for a person who will serve as the main contact with your school for your program booking and lead teacher who will visiting the Museum the day of the field trip
Program Confirmation - A confirmation and invoice will be sent to you at least two weeks prior to your program date
- To confirm your reservation, please send a signed copy of the invoice to the Museum, along with a 20% deposit prior to the date of your program
- The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable, and must be received by the Museum 2 weeks prior or your reservation will be forfeited
For Broward County Public Schools only:a purchase order number may be supplied to cover the deposit. In this case, payment- in- full must be made at the time of your visit. Payment For Field Trips to Young At Art: Full payment must be made on the day of your visit. Museum membership, coupons and other discounts are not applicable to school group visits. For Outreach Programs: The balance in full must be mailed to the Museum prior to the date of your program. Make checks payable to Young At Art Children's Museum. For Broward Public Schools only: The Broward School District has set up a special Arts & Sciences Supplemental Fund that offers financial support for field trips to the Museum or Outreach Programs to your school. Each school is allotted approximately $2,400 that must be used by the end of the school year. The money from this fund can also be used to defray the costs of transportation to the Museum. To find out more about how you can access these funds, see your school principal and/or bookkeeper. When you Arrive - Museum staff will greet your group at the Museum entrance
- Payments must be made at the front desk prior to entering the museum
- Depending on the number of participants, your group may be divided into separate groups
- The Museum encourages students to wear nametags during their visit
- Please arrive on time. If you are running late, please call to let our tour staff know
- Groups who arrive late are subject to a shorter tour time or cancellation
Just for Teachers Free for You! Present your valid school district or teacher's union identification card and receive free admission (limited to teachers only) to the Museum anytime! Stop by and visit the exhibits and preview the programs in which your students will be taking part...all on us! Educational Curriculum Guides Teacher "Pre/Post" visit packets, integrated with Florida's Sunshine State Standards, are included FREE as part of your program experience. Special Needs Young At Art is pleased to accommodate children with special needs. Please advise the Museum 2 weeks prior to your visit of any special requirements your students might need.
