| Museum Without Walls travels South Florida.
Awareness campaign and assessment surveys conducted. Community
embraces vision of Young At Art. |

| 1988 |
| Two years of successful programming leads
to wide community support for permanent space. Young At Art responds
to community by securing site in the burgeoning family community
of West Broward. |

| 1989 |
| Young At Art opens. Space designed by award-winning
architect Donald Singer. 2,100 people attend Grand Opening |

| 1990 |
| Student field trips established. 3,500
students from Broward, Palm Beach and Dade Counties explore Museum's
first exhibit It's Fun to Be Me. First year of operation concludes
with 9,500 visitors. |

| 1991 |
| Studio art classes established with professional
artists. Scholarships offered fro children with need, underwritten
by corporate and foundation sponsors. |

| 1992 |
| Exhibitions target community needs. New
Playspace exhibition promotes early childhood education, while
African Impressions becomes first multicultural exhibition to
support Broward Schools Multicultural Infusion Program. |

| 1993 |
| On-site sopace expansion required to accommodate
two simultaneous exhibitions, Making Waves, and Ancient Treasures. |

| 1994 |
| Reach-Out programs travle throughout South
Florida. Passport To Africa outreach targets 10,000 students
at 20 Chapter 1 schools in Broward County. |

| 1995 |
| National travelilng exhibit program begins
with Spirit Of Native America. Earthworks permanent exhibition
reveals signifcance of ecology merging with art. |

| 1996 |
| Half a million people reached as first
decade concludes. Attendance soars to 132,825 annually - 42,325
served in-house and 90,500 through outreach. New phase of growth
begins. |
