Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great opportunity for you to help support our mission of creating "inspiring, interactive experiences in which art is central to shaping young minds and enriching our community."

Volunteers at YAA experience the excitement of using art for hands-on learning while helping the museum serve 300,000 children and adult visitors each year.

Whether you are a high school student looking for community service hours or an adult looking to share your life experience, Young At Art Museum is a perfect match. Bring your unique talents and sense of wonder-filled discovery. Join your friends or gain new ones while you make a significant contribution to YAA and the community.

High School Volunteer Program
Grades 9-12 • (Must be going into 9th grade if applying for summer)

1. The Volunteer submits the Online Volunteer Application and selects an orientation date.

2. The Volunteer next prints and fills out the Volunteer Authorization Form Packet. All volunteers under 18 must have their parents sign where appropriate.

3. The Volunteer brings the completed Authorization Form Packet and a onetime $50.00 Application Fee to their scheduled orientation date. At the orientation the Volunteer will learn about YAA and the volunteer program and also schedule their finger prints through the Clearinghouse which costs $68.00 and goes directly to the state of Florida.

4. Once your background check is cleared you are officially a YAA Volunteer!
